Where is Brooke (Julia Barr) of All My Children?

Brooke's character has obviously been missing for several months from AMC. I heard rumors that the show fired her or wrote her out of the show. Also heard rumor that's why (the character), Dixie was fired (killed off) from the show. She spoke out against Julia's firing.
