Why politicize VT?

I agree with you. You cannot compare the two situations. It's like apples and oranges. When you join the military, you know there is a very real possibility that you might go into combat, but you have been trained and are armed. I respect what our soldiers do but I feel bad that they are dying for oil in Iraq. That is a huge waste of our military. These VT students, however, were unarmed civilians trying to get an education. They did not go to cl expecting some psycho to come shot at them. They were true victims and what happened there is a tragedy.
