Sinus Surgery aftercare help?

I just had sinus surgery to get rid of polyps and diseased tissue and bone from chronic sinusitis, I was feeling better and accidentally blew my nose, not hard and not thinking about it well I looked at the tissue and there was this gel looking stuff, I am thinking that was the packing that was up my nose, ANYWAYS....I have been having a lot of drainage out of my nose and a really bad headache and this nasty taste in my mouth it almost tastes like when I ripped a stitch after my tonsils were taken out, basically like pus and it's making me so nauseous and I can not sleep and I get hot flashes and really shaky, I have my first after surgery appt. with my ENT on Friday is this normal for this to happen with the bad taste and a lot of drainage out of my nose and some into my throat?
